Decision Matrix Systems provides structured modelling architecture capable of supporting advanced research into mining strategy, resource economic, and optimisation methodologies. DMS is looking to work with academic partners to improve DMS and improve the status of mineral economics- especially important in Australia.
DMS is happy to support both theoretical research and applied industry studies, allowing academic teams to test new optimisation methods, evaluate alternative decision models, and investigate the economic behaviour of mining systems under varying market conditions. By collaborating with research groups and universities we seek to contribute to the ongoing development of more rigorous and transparent decision methodologies for the global mining industry.
How to start Research Collaboration?
DMS is happy to support promising projects in the resource economics, operations research sectors. If DMS is used to support the development of new modelling approaches and decision frameworks applicable to complex mining systems, that's further proof that Decision Matrix has longevity.
To support the continued development of the platform, Decision Matrix Systems retains partial intellectual property rights for a period with respect to developments incorporated into the DMS framework. At the same time, collaborating researchers retain full academic rights to publish their work, subject to reasonable coordination to ensure the protection of non proprietary implementation details.
Decision Matrix is designed to encourage open research collaboration while ensuring that innovations developed with the assistance of the framework can continue to evolve as part of the broader DMS platform.
